Ravenholm back up!
The server Ravenholm has been down for the last week due to me moving. I had to move quickly and the Thanksgiving holiday also got in the way, however it is now back online and ready for current and new users.

I am sorry there was no forewarning and it has taken this long to get back up but it was a very busy and chaotic week.

Thanks,
Tobie "giod" Booth

Status report
Here are the Status report news for irc.freenode.net #netburst.

Currently we have only 2 operational servers. What does that mean? It means that we're leaking out of resources due to the following facts :

- ravenholm went down ( it's admin is unactive )
- tellus will be reformated sooner or later
- my friend chamonix is missing in action
- i'm busy with the school

Life goes on, and I'll try my best, to keep the netburst.org running. Please support us by donating any ammount, and help us stay alive!

Tellus is going down
Sadly, i have decided to no longer run a free shell service anymore. I have other projects to focus on, and the server will be reformated for that purpose. The reformat will happen on Sunday 29. November. So take backup of anything you would like to save.

Maybe i will return some day, who knows smiling

Recovered
Now I`m pretty sure everyone wonders what was going on with netburst. Well all I can say is that my friend r1k1 has had hell of a week recovering from a bad upgrade. As you can see the site is back online now, as well is the server and user`s data.
If you think "so what, not a big deal" well that`s a sign that you have never ran a public server and don`t know what effort it takes to keep a server up-and-running, secure and updated. Think about the last time you were desperate because your windows or linux was broken, scale it by 10 regarding the complexity and the pressure and you will have a idea what we went through.

So next time you see r1k1 online just spend a minute to tell him: thank you for the great work!!!
